Technology supports the legal provider
Legally.cy is designed to supply matching and workflow technology to connect customers with independent lawyers working within the platform. AI may support document organisation, issue spotting and first drafts. It does not independently advise clients, determine case merits or replace the signing provider's professional judgment.
The lawyer checks legal work
A qualified advocate acting under the separate lawyer-client engagement must verify facts, authorities, legal analysis and final advice, including work prepared with platform tools. The platform's provision of technology does not transfer that professional responsibility away from the legal-services provider.
Platform duties remain
Human review does not excuse Legally.cy from obligations applicable to its own systems, processing or conduct. Approved technology use requires appropriate access controls, processor terms, retention arrangements, security and a lawful basis for handling information. Responsibility cannot be allocated solely by calling an output AI-assisted.
Confidentiality first
Confidential material must only be processed in approved systems after purpose, access, professional confidentiality, retention and processor arrangements have been assessed. Consumer AI accounts must not be used for confidential client files without an appropriate lawful and contractual basis. Professional privilege depends on the applicable law and facts rather than platform membership alone.
Clear information before engagement
Before client work starts, the platform operator and participating provider must explain relevant technology use and handling of client information. Material errors and uncertainties must be identified and corrected. No autonomous legal-advice service is supplied by this website.
